Overview for orthodontic treatments at heyzahn in Obermenzing
Costs for orthodontic treatment
Statutory insured persons
Orthodontic treatment is usually covered for children and young people under 18 years of age, but you will have to pay a personal contribution of around 700 euros, which will be reimbursed by your health insurance company after successful treatment.
As a rule, treatment for adults is not covered by statutory health insurance. An exception is made in cases of severe jaw misalignment that require additional surgical adjustment of the jaw. However, in this case, the patient still has to pay a co-payment.
Additional costs for patients with statutory insurance
The costs covered by statutory health insurance only cover minimal care. Modern and innovative materials or high-quality treatment concepts are not included in the health insurance providers' list of services. Free treatment is possible with us, but our declared goal is to treat all patients equally, regardless of their insurance status.
Through this approach, we guarantee consistent quality with the shortest possible treatment times and comfortable treatment equipment. However, there are numerous treatment methods and materials that are not covered by statutory insurance, which can lead to private co-payments. We would be happy to advise you in our practice!
Additional dental insurance
If you do not have private or supplementary insurance, we strongly recommend that you check the possibility of additional dental insurance covering the costs before your first appointment at our practice.
The Waizmann table provides you with a quick overview of the benefits of all additional dental insurance plans. You can find all information, ratings and the respective benefit overviews of the insurance companies under the following link: www.waizmanntabelle.de
Privately insured
Private insurance companies generally cover the costs of orthodontic treatment. To get an accurate estimate of coverage, your insurance company will need an individual treatment plan based on a detailed diagnosis.
It is strongly recommended that you submit your treatment plan to your health insurance company before starting treatment to clarify whether the costs will be covered. The insurance company will then inform you of the extent of the reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement can be up to 100%, depending on the insurance plan you have chosen.
